Sophie Rao
is a visual artist inspired by New England’s wildlife and the beauty and strength of nature. Trained in Ceramic Artisanry, Sophie sculpts animals and creates utilitarian dish ware in porcelain with stenciled animal imagery. A desire for more mobile creation blooms new passion for Wearable Fiber Arts and crochet bikini tops. 2021 designs are inspired by life in the wildlands on Monhegan Island.
